I was in the car listening to the radio–a football game, I believe–and I actually found myself reaching for the controls to rewind the program back a few seconds to review what I’d just heard, a la TiVo.
I’ve had my TiVo for almost two years now, and I can’t imagine going back to the old way of watching television. With a houseful of kids and a busy schedule, TiVo is invaluable.
Now if only that same technology could be applied to other realtime broadcasts like radio–or…dare I suggest, our own memories… Imagine being able to “replay” past memories from our lives as if they were currently happening…
I think I just blew my own mind.
