Choices, Part 2: Letting Go

A related idea to my previous post… Sometimes our choice to focus on our blessings rather than our curses requires us to let go of certain things–including personal traits or ideas, or even ideals that we’ve clung to simply because we’ve been conditioned to do so. Or simply out of habit.
Letting go of these kinds of things requires a great deal of introspection and self-awareness–sometimes at the risk of facing unpleasant truths about ourselves.
Or maybe… Just making the decision to be kind to ourselves for a change–instead of focusing on our shortcomings. And realizing that we ourselves can be among our greatest blessings.
