I found this drawing on my bed this morning, in an envelope with my five-year old son’s writing on it.
I had just gotten out of the shower and was feeling a little discouraged and defeated, for some reason, wondering why some things just don’t seem to come as easy for me as they do for others, when I happened upon the envelope. And suddenly, with this simple drawing and gesture, it all became clear to me.
Too often we tend to forget the simplest and most important things, and we need a little reminder to get our priorities re-aligned.
Thank you for that reminder, Ryan. You’ll never know just how much I needed and appreciate it.
I love you, son.
